A ziplock bag is more leakproof
If you fish artificial baits, than you know it's like handling a skunk. I thought this product was the solution when I was looking for a small container that was both leakproof and easy to open/close with one hand.
Tested it first by laying it on its side with water in it for a couple of days. NO leaks. My hopes were high.
Well, that was as good as it got. Tried it next with Berkeley Gulp and double bagged it just in case. Tossed it in my tackle bag upright and drove to the local fishing spot. When I went to take it out and it had already leaked. There was no hard handling or anything. It was only a 10 min car ride.
Since it leaked with such minor handling, not sure if the seal is really as good as it claims. Since the seal is along the internal sides, unlike similar products where it is a rubber seal pushed down along the edges, I have a feeling that it could be suspect to things getting caught in the seal more easily. You can wipe down the edges but it is harder to wipe down the internal walls. Maybe it was the oils in the fish attractant? But I wouldn't say it was something unusual or difficult to handle.
