This was meant as a desk chair for a computer. Padding started to wear out with medium use after a month. After 2 months the padding was pretty much non-existent and it started to squeak pretty badly. I weigh only 160 lbs, so if its wearing out while I'm sitting on it, I can only imagine the longevity an average person would get out of it. Can't recommend at all based on this; you get what you pay for I guess.
