This does not have a nightlight as the package states.
If you look on the package it says "nitelite" function, and in the description it says "guide light.". It has none of these. I wanted a night light that would illuminate the stairs even if the power goes out so this clearly isn't what I wanted. It does work as an emergency light but that is all and I will keep it in the basment by the breaker panel. I don't understand why it doesn't have the option to be on while the power is still on seems like a missed opportunity.
