ORIGINAL POST: Sadly this iron does nothing that it promises. The only reason I give it a 2 star is for the nice design. Not sure, if I received a used or defective iron, but this one I got leaks water while ironing, the steaming function that is supposed to release a nice concentrated burst of steam, either doesn't do anything at all or releases a little bit from the bottom holes only. In addition to that, it beeps randomly while moving the iron and the retractable chord is not retracting more than a couple of inches at a time, so you have to pull and retract the chord over and over again until it is finally back in the housing. Other than that it's a great iron... Sorry Mueller - I really love your salad spinner, but this iron is worse than my 30 year old relic. UPDATE: DOWNGRADED TO 1 Star After I initially posted this review, I was asked by the seller if I would kindly remove it and give the company another chance, since I can be assured that this Mueller iron is a high quality product and this was a “rare" unfortunate incident that I received a used/ defective item. I also was given a refund by Amazon and offered to keep my original gift card issued by Mueller to try their product. I really like to support small businesses, so I relented and removed my review and awaited my new unit. Well, guess what - AGAIN it wasn’t new - even that someone had put a “new item” sticker on the box (which looked anything but new) including the iron (see pictures). Most of all, it had the same leaking issues as the first iron I had received. After I contacted the seller again, they basically told me that there was nothing more they could or would do, since they have “no control over what Amazon does”... but they still hope I wouldn’t leave them negative feedback. So, I thought, I’d give them a 3rd chance and order another iron - and yes, you guessed right - another USED and WATER LEAKING iron with a steam button that doesn’t function right. It only produces a little bit of a hint of steam every few pushes or so. So, here is my HONEST review: This product SUCKS!!! 3 out of 3 irons that had almost the exact same issues AND arrived used. This tells me that there is an inherent problem with the iron - of which the seller must be aware of - as they have replied to the numerous negative reviews and complaints on Amazon, yet still claims it happens very rarely. Evidently the product is so bad that there are only recirculated defective used items being shipped out by Amazon. I find this hard to believe that the seller doesn’t have any control over this and allows Amazon to do so instead of taking the defective products off the market. Lastly, I want potential buyers to be aware that the overall high rating on this product evidently stems from the seller asking unsatisfied customers to delete their reviews in exchange for additional products or gift cards. I feel that this is a highly unethical business practice and I’m ashamed I initially let myself be “bribed” into deleting my first honest review. Therefore I feel compelled to set the record straight and to share my experience with potential buyers. Mueller, you certainly have lost my future business, which I feel especially sad about, since I am originally from Austria and wanted to really like your products.
