Purchased this GoWise 5.8 quart electric air fryer about two months ago, the product arrived in a reasonable amount of time and in good condition. Unfortunately when I attempted to use the air fryer the fry basket would not latch securely to the pot and the two would separate unexpectedly. Contacted GoWise customer service and via email and explained my problem. Two days later GoWise customer service replied and offered to send a replacement air fryer basket and pot assembly free of charge. The replacement fryer and pot assembly arrived three days later and worked correctly by firmly latching together until the release button was depressed and not suddenly without warning as the original combination did. The fryer worked well but after a few days of use the finish started chipping off the fry basket. I continued to use it and noticed more paint chips after each cleaning. This continued for the first two months of use but did not effect the operation of the fryer. Suddenly after two months of use, the fryer basket and pot began to separate unexpectedly without warning like the original pieces. This causes an unsafe condition with the potential of personal injury and severe burns. In my opinion this product should be recalled for this safety issue and taken off the market until corrective action is taken to alleviate the hazard.
