PLEASE READ: NOT FOR USE IN CRIB!!!
This product has very limited safe use unless you co-sleep 100% naps & night!!!! After reading all of the rave reviews about this product on Amazon & a few independent reviews by fellow mommy bloggers I thought I would give this a shot. My LO had started suffering 4mos sleep regression as we were in the middle of sleep coaching & transitioning out of co-sleeper to crib. While waiting for the product to arrive LO started rolling over back to belly and had to go in his crib for napping safety. He surprisingly began to improve sleeping on his belly but was rolling & thrashing into the crib rails. Discussing what I could do short term until my dock arrived with my best friend also my pediatrician she directed me to the dock a tot website for a good safety reading! This product isn't designed for use in cribs or bassinets or any unsupervised sleep for infants as many parents are using! It is a true co-sleeper that requires parental supervision while baby is using it. Our pedi explained especially once baby is rolling onto belly & pulling himself he could attempt to climb out & flip the lodge himself under the dock. I see so many pics of parents with this in their crib or bassinet. PLEASE read the manufacturers FAQ page and use appropriately! Only the grand sized product is used for transitioning from co-sleeping or crib to toddler bed.
I am returning my product unused but will say it arrive in very nice packaging. Upon delivery I did inspect it. I put the dock over my face and the faces of my nanny & hubby. We could breathe (while not fully free) with our faces buried in the material. The product is light weight & sturdy. You wouldn't be able to move baby while in it sleeping, safely. While it seems breathable & company states it is ok for belly sleep I wouldn't feel safe putting my LO in to belly sleep & at this point it is how he rolls himself.
While I cannot fully rate the product & it might be great for co-sleeping safely the company who runs promotions for discounts for positive reviews needs to follow how their product is being misused & put this warning out there & on the product not stick it back in a FAQ page lots of parents don't read!
