Requires subscription, doesn't work consistently
Do not buy. Arlo used to be good. But Arlo has lost its product following by forcing subscriptions to get 4k recordings etc. They're just cameras. We purchased for the 7 day cloud free recording. That's all we needed was just a few days of recording to see what was happening. However if you add a doorbell like this, or any newer camera with or without flood light etc., you don't get the free recordings. Their site says you can get 2k, but that's only if you insert a USB drive to the base, and then you can only delete recordings if you insert to a computer. Antiquated. The subscriptions are Expensive compared to others. 10$ for 5 cameras, not including doorbell, vs Google's total system (2nd gen), however many doorbells and cameras you want for 6$.
Also most have changed management because their services are declining.
And the kicker, it is not disclosed when you purchase the product, that it will require a subscription in order to work. Therefore, they give you a 3 month trial, but then it stops working after 3 months and you cannot return the product.
Correction, the doorbell doesn't even work consistently within the 3 month trial.
Don't buy. Go to any other security system.
