Protip: If your check engine light is on, there is ALWAYS a code. That being said, I tested this with a 2013 Nissan Altima that has a check engine light on (seen in pic). The connectivity via Bluetooth was simple on my Pixel 2. However, I used 3 different apps, all recommended by BAFX, and none of them were able to read the code. When this happens, it's due to a low quality ODB tool that isn't equipped to read all of the possible engine codes. If you genuinely need this tool, like in my case where the car won't even start, I suggest looking elsewhere. I was under the impression that this product would read engine codes and it does not so I will be returning it.
