Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Okay, I'm definitely one for reading reviews before buying on Amazon and there were both positive and negative reviews for this item. Here are the positives: 1) looks good from a distance, 2) seals well and 3) pours true. Now, the negatives: 1) if this is actual 24% leaded crystal, I'm winning the lottery tomorrow, 2) yes, it's made in China, not Europe (and I've been to the Swarovski factory in Austria) and 3) there are flaws that are telltale signs this isn't genuine crystal. But, for $19.99, it's not going to be a piece of prized Steuben. It's essentially a beautiful prop for your home. If you're looking for the real deal, go elsewhere. If you want hand-formed European glass, go to Crate & Barrel and pay double to still be on the relative cheap. I'm not going to lash out against Amazon, but they need to be sure that they accurately represent a product they are selling so that discerning buyers know what they're getting.
