I opened the box read the operating manual , then I packed it all back up and sent it back. First of all there is a lot of things you cant put in it like citrus peels, a whole list of things that are to soft to go in so you must be very careful. The filters need to be replaced every 3 months at $50 each time, it puts off very hot steam so its best kept the the garage. I do a lot of composting so I thought this would be helpful, but it is not. Its expensive to purchase and keep operating. Very disappointed the Vitamix had it made in China and not in the United States. I should have read the reviews might have saved my self some trouble.
