I bought this 4 months ago, have used it maybe 10 times. I cleaned it per the directions following the usual way that a person would clean any non-stick surface like this -- with a sponge and some Dawn dish detergent. As of today's washing I noticed that the non-stick coating is worn off about 6-8 of the "ridges" where I place the sandwich. I find that to be a ridiculously short product life. Buyer beware! On the positive side, it worked great.
