Let me preface my thoughts by saying I know humor is subjective, but frankly I didn't find this book at all funny. It didn't even elicit a chuckle. I expected belly laughs and tears based on the description so I was quite disappointed in that regard, but forged on hoping to be engaged by the content. To the author's credit, she creates vividly detailed scenery, but that's all I can say. Much of it felt like filler. I was waiting for something interesting to happen...and then reached the end of the book. Thankfully it was free.
