Garbage
Well, it was a decent, no frills vacuum while it worked. 7 months. That's how long it took it to die. I own a small retail store with commercial carpeting. This thing was used to clean less than a couple of hundred square feet twice a week for 7 months. I was vacuuming one night and it just died. No power. I checked the breakers, they were good. I checked the cord, no damage. I checked the whole thing out, it's just not getting power. I've had cheapo vacuums for less than $75 last longer than this, and they were used more often. Edit: Got in touch with Oreck. They "think" it is under warranty, but I have to drive it to a dealer for service. The closest dealer is 20 minutes away. That's not very convenient for customers to have to drive the vacuum to a repair place. Edit 2 - Oct 16, 2013 - So Oreck had me take this to a repair place, who had me drop it off. They told me they would call if it would cost anything. They called and told me they had repaired it and it cost me $29.99. I asked if the problem was not covered by the warranty. They informed me that since it was purchased from Amazon, there is no warranty. Take that into consideration when purchasing this vacuum.
