I have had a Honda E2000i in for repairs for over a month. It is only 9 months old with less than 20 hours on it. After 2 months of back and forth with Honda, Honda has said they will not support the waranty repairs dut to carbon buildup, claiming it was run indoors. It was not. I have been in contact with Honda Support. Now, after 2 months working with the repairs shop, now they have to do their own investigation, saying it will be another week so they can see whats wrong with the generator. Total BS, just getting the run around again. Then, their representative was rude and audibly sighed at me when I complained about getting a run around. To top that off, when I asked to speak to his manager, he connected me back TO HIS OWN VOICEMAIL to leave a message. At this point I highly recommend that you do not buy a Honda, their customer service is crap.
