I bought this product 15 years ago, and it performed like a champ. The plastic wheels finally gave up so I was thrilled when I saw that they still made the exact same scooter. Well, about the only thing that is unchanged is the color scheme. They have cheaped this out to the point where the lid melted as soon as it 100F (aka, spring in Phoenix, AZ), and the side walls collapsed so it no longer holds a 150 pound person. I'm giving the Step2 Garden Hopper a try. Although I like the features of this product better (locking lid, handles on both sides), the fact that it fails at being a stool is a deal breaker. I would happily pay more for this scooter if they built it to last, like they used to.
