My son has been swimming since birth. We have never used this brand before but gave them a try. I followed directions putting these over the opening of his ears only as I always do. Within minutes he came to me complaining water was getting in his ear. Imagine my shock when as I went to remove the plugs and put in the old ones and found they were melted INSIDE HIS EARS...BOTH!!! We had to go to the ER (can't wait for that bill!) The ENT MD said these should NEVER have been used for this purpose and can cause hearing loss, infection and all sorts of problems. Way to soft and mealy... like a piece of gum. They literally melted into pieces right into both his ear canals and the only way to retrieve them was by a doctor! I called Amazon to warn them about this item. So scary!!! You've been warned!
