I used this flour for several months, in allergy free baking. And it was great stuff! But one day, I received a bag in my Amazon order that was labeled Anthony's Organic Cassava Flour, but clearly contained something else. I emailed the company, provided my Amazon order number, and the rep just said that what I had received was cassava flour. He gave no explanation for the difference in appearance. Meanwhile, my next Amazon order arrived, and the Anthony's flour in it was back to normal. Clearly this was not a case of Anthony's switching to a different supplier whose cassava flour had a different appearance. I took a photo comparing the strange flour with the ordinary Anthony's flour, and sent it to the rep. He did not respond. Here's the photo. You can see that the two flours differ not only in color but also in texture and clumping pattern. It is not reasonable to think that they are from the same species. I don't know what I received, so I don't know who it is safe to feed it to. I can no longer trust Anthony's as a provider of allergy safe flours. I now have $50 worth of flour that I can't use, and Anthony's does not accept returns on Amazon orders.
