Defective Product, No Contact Info for Seller
In general, this is a great product. I have ArmorSuit Military Shields on my iPad2 and two iPhones, all purchased from YesProducts. I have had a couple issues though... On this particular order, one of the front shields was defective - it had a gouge in it. I received an e-mail from the seller asking to contact them directly if there were any issues. Here is a direct quote from the e-mail: "Our goal is for you to be completely satisfied with this transaction. If this is not the case, we would appreciate it if you would give us a chance to address your concerns before leaving feedback. Please email us @ [e-mail address removed] , we will try our best to help you out. I checked on the manufacturer's website, as these have advertise "LIFETIME REPLACEMENTS." They charge for shipping, however. In addition to this, they require you to send in your damaged product. The silliest part about this is that it is cheaper to just buy a new front shield from them then to pay for the shipping charge on the "free" replacement (shipping is free on the new product), let alone dealing with the cost, hassle, time delay and lack of protection between shipment of old shield and reciept of new when using their "LIFETIME REPLACEMENT" guaranty. To my understanding, the product is supposed to self heal, but the protector on my iPad2 has impressions that will not go away. These impressions were caused by the stiching on the pouch I used for storage (this seems a bit sensitive to begin with, and then the fact that it doesn't "self heal" is another issue). Other than the fact that YesAvenue did not provide a manner in which to contact this, these are all issues with the product (which is great, except for the problems mentioned - it has a great feel, seems to protect well, and so far has maintained adhesion well - just don't use in conjunction with a "bumper" case on the iPhone - the shield will peel up around the edges with the friction of the bumper). I'm a bit frustrated.
