Separate the person from the production - the person is mildly interesting, but the film really did a poor job of showing me why. Telling me about his degrees and accomplishments is one thing, showing me why he is considered a genius is entirely another and this film completely fails to do this. Also, there are two important parts left unaddressed - what motivated/motivates him to work, pursue, love as he does...I mean what REALLY motivates him? What is he running from? What hole does he hope to fill? Pursuing these questions is what a good journalism should do, and this does not happen in any substantive way. Second thing - how did he pay for all of his education? If we are living at a moment when secondary education is priced at a premium, and many more people want to go to the kinds of schools than can actually go, why not address the elephant in the room? Feel like this is a note more for the director than for a potential viewer....
