I've been using Norton for many years, and just "upgraded" NIS 2014 to this version. One of my need to haves is to manually allow or deny internet access to programs. In this latest version, I can still disable Automatic Program Control. However, a new "feature" they added is that if I don't choose to allow or deny in 60 seconds or less, they will automatically choose the default option for me. So if I'm away from my computer and miss the notification, I won't even know that a program tried to access the internet. This, of course, renders manual program control useless. Norton says they will take my feedback into consideration regarding this new feature, but I'm not holding my breath. If you don't mind having Norton decide what can and cannot access the internet, then this review is not meant for you. For those that prefer complete control over their firewall, you have been warned.
