I purchased this item and have used it for nearly a year and in that time I feel I am qualified to write an accurate review. Yes, this thing is very durable, holds the mattress off the ground securely and gives you ample storage space under the bed. Unfortunately the mattress does not seem to want to keep on it and will easily slide around the platform. This will also significantly soften the mattress so if you like a firmer bed then this is not an ideal solution for you. The other issue I experienced after about 3 months of use was a ridiculous amount of squeaking and creaking from just shifting in the bed. I have tightened all possible nuts, bolts, screws and that has not eliminated the problem. After spending several hours tracking down the sound I have discovered it is inside of the actual metal tubes and appears to be the metal flexing at various weld joints that cause the problem. THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THIS TYPE OF SQUEAKING! I tried applying lubricant and that did not work. So, unless this is an isolated defect, the bed will begin squeaking eventually and once it does there will be no way to stop it. This also does not seem to be something that the company will remedy under warranty as my messages about it have gone gone unanswered. The other issue I had was that it does not include the adapter to secure the platform to a headboard. I have called and left numerous messages with the company over the past year and only received 1 returned call which went to my voicemail. Instead of sending me the missing pieces so I could attach my headboard they just asked me to call them back. So again I left more voicemails with my full name, address, and what I was needing from them in addition to me describing my purchase information. I have not yet received the adapters in the mail and I am guessing the company is not going to send them. TL:DR - The platform will either break or squeak and there is very little you can do to remedy or prevent it. The platform does not include the adapter for a headboard, yet the ones that are sold at Kmart do have that adapter. The company has been unresponsive over the past year and I have given up on it. If I could return this frame for a full refund I would in a heartbeat and may consult my credit card for warranty related options. I give it 2 stars only because it has not yet broken, even with the missing pieces, squeaks, creaks, and it significantly making my mattress feel softer, it does do what it claims, gives me extra storage while supporting my bed. I only wish it did it with more elegance. Until I can afford otherwise I will be awoken in the night every time I shift in bed due to the noise. **UPDATE** I HAVE UPLOADED A VIDEO THAT CLEARLY SHOWS THE CREAKING/SQUEAKING NOISE DUE TO FAULTY WELDS.
