Great dehumidifier, works quietly and seems to be pretty efficient at getting water out of the air. Five year warranty on the refrigeration equipment is super nice as well. However, if you intend to hook up a hose to drain the unit, you may want to look elsewhere. The drain receptacle on the back of the unit has a flange on it that prevents most garden hoses from being able to thread into the receptacle. I tried every garden hose that I own, plus went to the hardware store and bought every hose female end I could find, and only after significant trial and error was I lucky to find one elbow connector that had a deep enough set of threads to actually seat it on the drain receptacle. I was at the point the unit was almost sent back. Yes, they do ship a proprietary drain hose with the unit (and it fits the receptacle great) but the included hose is both a) very short and b) made from a hard polyethylene plastic that makes it difficult to aim into a drain because it simply holds its shape unless it’s held in place with quite a lot of force.
