This outlet needs more heat resistant plastic. I had no idea the plastic was melting and burning until I removed the plug. This is OK for plugging in a charger for your phone. It cannot handle an appliance that uses a lot of electricity and the plug heats up. Thank goodness we never left the appliance on while we were way from the house.
