Not helpful for children
This book title sounded good, but the message is very confusing for children. For example, a neighbor offers to take Lu home, but how does Lu know if the woman is safe? Does Lu know if the woman dyes her hair red, or if it's natural? Does Lu know if the neighbor prefers a shower or a bath? Another person offers to take her home, but Lu doesn't know if he prefers red or green jell-o, or washes his own socks.
Most children don't know these details about their own family members, let alone a neighbor or family friend. Most adults don't know the answers to these questions about their friends. The message in the book is that if you know these details about a persons life, then they are safe. Not a realistic book to teach children not to go with strangers. It sends a rather odd message about what identifies a stranger, and who is safe and not safe.
