Not a good Bot
Should have done my research. We've used Shark uprights for years and always found them to be reasonably priced quality cleaners. When our old robot-vac died we couldn't wait to replace it with a Shark. Big mistake. This thing completely ignores the magnetic boundary strips, dragging them around the room. It cleans the same area 2 or 3 times and completely misses others. It will also repeatedly drive right by an open door to a room until you turn a light on in that room. Since it ignores the boundary strips, draperies are a nightmare. With its air intake is on the sides it sucks in the drapery causing a fault and, in an1800 square foot area, it can't find its way back to the dock without help. The level on which we use the Shark is all hardwood and tile with only a few small area rugs. The first time we used it, it didn't appear to not do a very thorough job, but it did manage to fill the dustbin about half way. The very next morning we ran it again and got another half full dustbin. No way a retired couple without pets generated that much debris in less than 24-hours. We had none of these problems with our old vacuum (Neato). Save your money folks, this thing is a bust!
