Unable To Verify Heavy Metal Testing Claims
Sprout Living claims that their product is tested for heavy metal (Arsenic, Lead, Cadmium, Mercury) and that their raw materials and finished goods have a threshold of 1.5 parts per million. However, THEY WILL NOT SHARE their Certificate Of Analysis (COA). My experience as a consumer (and understanding from industry professionals) is that this document should be made available + readily shared in order to verify manufacturer's statements / claims. Sprout Living's reply is it's 'against company policy to share this document', as such there is NO WAY TO VERIFY THEIR PRODUCT CLAIMS. My personal recommendation, since we are talking about a product one is ingesting regularly, and since lead and arsenic can accumulate in peas and then get isolated in powders, is to SKIP THIS PRODUCT and find other manufacturers (easily searchable) with COA's that readily share (and not hide) this information.
