A shame that communism is promoted
I enjoyed learning more about what life was like in the Dust Bowl during the Great Depression. I loved the Italian culture of the family and I could appreciate the main character’s longing for love.
All that being said, Communism is portrayed in a positive light, and I have an issue with that. I wish the author had not taken that bent but had continued the story some other way. I’m 3/4 done with the book and am not going to finish.
