The tree itself came in good condition and was easy to assemble. It took about an hour to fluff and there were no holes anywhere. However, the seemingly simple task of plugging in the lights to their corresponding neighbors was surprisingly frustrating. The cooresponding plugs had matching labels but when following those instructions, they did not work. We eventually got it to work after using a trial and error system. Then, after about a week, the top half of the tree stopped lighting up. I checked all of the plugs that would possibly be to blame, but they were all fine. It ended up being an actual piece of the wire that when moved, the tree magically lit back up. Now every time I turn on the tree, I have to move the wire to make the tree light up. Unfortunately, the return policy for this tree is set up to make it inconvienent to return the item since the customer is responsible for paying for the returned shipment. Because of the sketchy wiring, I don’t feel safe having this tree in my house where my children live, even with a surge and fire proof outlet.
