My mom lives with us and sometimes forget to turn off the gas stove when she cooks, so I come home and the house smells like gas. I purchased this thinking it can detect gas, IT DOESN'T! When I purchased this a couple of months ago, I plugged it right next to the stove thinking we won't the same issues we had before. WRONG! Today, I came home at 6PM, my mom said she finished cooking at 5PM. By 9PM, while watching TV in my bedroom upstairs, I smell gas. I immediately ran downstairs and found that two stove valves are on, releasing gas for almosf 4 hours! And this Kiddie alam right next to the stove? TOTALLY USELESS! Wow. Unbelievable. I guess I shouldn't count on it detecting carbon monoxide either!!!
