This story was well written with good characters and an intriguing plot. So why the two stars? Because there were three things that happen in this story that leave me with a bad taste in my mouth and a queasy stomach. First, after putting her through absolute hell for three years with no explanation, Jared doesn't even have to work at it to get Tate back. He barely even apologized. Just told his story, barely said sorry, and boom! she lets him in. He should have had to work for it, change his ways, prove it to her! Second, I absolutely HATE when a character has sex with other people when they are already in love with the other character. Jared said something about her really being his because she was a virgin and then later tells her that he was always hers. Uh, what? How the heck was he hers when he was a manwh*re? I have no problem with sex for sexs' sake, but NOT when the character is already emotionally attached to the other. It grosses me out. And third, I saw that there is another book that continues their story and it says that after this supposedly HEA, Jared leaves Tate for two years where I can only assume he continues his manwh*re ways, and that she takes him back again after just a couple days. Ugh! Really? I will not be reading that book!
