I initially loved the humidifier, so much so I bought a second a month later. Unfortunately, after two months use of the first humidifier, it began burning and degrading (attached photos). After three months, my first humidifier's motor went. Neither humidifier ever read humidity properly. They both read 30%, even after I have literally fogged every window in my home while cooking. As far as humidifying, it does a good job until it blows up after three months use. The remote and features are superb to other humidifiers. The option to switch from cold or warm is great. The auto shut off when empty is one of the best features. I'm disappointed they run and don't actually register the humidity (which is partially why I bought them). I have birds and it's important to monitor humidity in the home. Even more so disappointed that I spent $200 and they seem to only last a few months. Do not buy!!
