My son fell in love with this bed so we decided to order it when we ordered his new mattress. The bed was everything he wanted: no headboard, no footboard, and storage under the mattress base. However, after only having the bed a month, the very cheap particle board mattress base, broke. I wasn't expecting the bed to last forever. After all, I only paid around $100 for it. However, I DID expect this bed to last longer than it did. This is a foundation bed. The mattress base is what gets the most weight. Who in the world would ever decide to use the cheapest, least durable "wood" that supports the mattress? We had to completely replace the entire base. Overall, we love the style of the bed but the quality is subpar even for this inexpensive bed.
