Quality is questionable
I believe this is the first review I have ever written for Amazon, but I feel that others need to know that, while these spikes appear in all aspects to be equal to Katoolah Microspikes, they just do not hold up. I've had a set of Katoolahs for about 6 years and used them consistently through the winter months in the foothills outside Denver. I use my microspikes to give me traction on ice and snow that I encounter on the Jefferson County trails just outside of Denver metro. I tend to leave the spikes on for my full 6 mile route, so they go over a lot of rocks when I'm not in the shadows. In 6 years, the Katoolah Microspikes never failed. They finally were worn down so much, that they no longer gave me traction on ice. I received my Unigear Traction Cleats on 11/23/18. Unfortunately, these spikes failed on my third hike! I repaired them, but had another failure (elsewhere on the gear) two hikes later. In each case, the metal links failed between the spikes and the rubber. The metal on these spikes just cannot hold up to walking over rocks. If you are going to use your gear on varied terrain, I highly recommend that you avoid these and buy the Katoolahs.
