Don't buy, will rust in a year.
I boil water about 2 times a week for tea. We got this kettle, and dry it out the best we can after every use. It traps a little bit of water in it that is hard to get out. After a while the cracks in the bottom started to rust. 1 year and a few weeks after buying the kettle I called KitchenAid to see what to do because I was worried about drinking water out of a rusty kettle. All they told me is to throw it away and then they tried to sell me a new one. If you buy a kettle from KitchenAid you will be having to buy a new one every year. Then when I said I didn't want to buy a new one if it will just rust on me, they just said sorry and ended to chat on me.
