I purchased these to fill a very particular niche. I'm a disabled vet with hearing horrible enough to warrant dual hearing aids. I purchased these to use when I'm shooting competitive sporting clays. They filled the need of earplugs to block gun reports, but also work to amplify ambient sound, so served in place of my aides when shooting. The problem is in poor design. They work as advertised, but the design of the headset places the on/off button on the inside surface of the apparatus that you wear around your neck. I'm shooting in upper Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, all very warm places. So the position of the on/off switch on the device has it riding with skin contact on your neck, allowing perspiration to enter through the on/off switch, thus bringing your neat little headphones to an early grave. I purchased these on May 22, this year, and only got to use them 5 times before I was met with a loud squealing noise and the setting dying. Good Idea but poorly executed. there's $100 down the tubes.
