3 minutes to get rid of fine lines/wrinkles? I think not.
Okay so I’ve put some time and research into this product. I am a 34 year old women with a light complexion and “normal” skin aka not overly oily or dry and no issues with acne but I do have frown lines, light crows feet and dark circles under my eyes because age happens. I generally eat healthy and walk A LOT. The Sunday Riley Good Genes All In One Lactic Acid Treatment claims “deeply exfoliates the full surface of the skin for clarity, radiance, and younger-looking skin. Visibly brightens the appearance of age spots and discoloration. Instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes.” That is exactly what it says on the front of the bottle. That statement was 1/4 true and 3/4 false for me.
My skin does look brighter and somewhat healthier. It 100% did nothing for any fine lines on my face, dark circles or age spots/unevenness of skin tone in 32 days of use and certainly not in 3 minutes. For me, the “instantly plumps the look of fine lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes” was very, very incorrect. I know I look freaky with my eyes covered in the pictures but I really don’t want my entire face out there for the world to judge. You can clearly see that my frown lines and dark circles are the same in every picture (minus the one with makeup on).
The back of the bottle mentions “purified grade lactic acid”. Lactic acid is known for helping keep your skin feeling moisturized and suppose to help with collagen renewal so after a prolonged use (not 3 minutes) , it can help with the appearance of skin to look younger.
The bottle also mentions “brightening licorice” which is used to help with dark circles and skin discolorations and it MAY help with that.
This product has a light scent that reminds me of the smell of lemon pledge but I actually like it. It absorbs into the skin quickly and can easily be used with your favorite SPF moisturizer plus makeup.
Overall, I am giving this product 2 out of 5 stars because a. Doesn’t work in 3 minutes on wrinkles and fine lines (or even 32 days). B. Doesn’t help with uneven skin tone or under eye circles. C. Pricy. D. Does make my face look brighter and a little healthier.
