★★☆☆☆
Sturdy, but a little squeaky on the horizontal acts
I was impressed as I was putting this together, the frame is solid, nice heavy welds, thick metal. The directions are super easy to follow, literally match the numbers. I put it together myself in about 10 minutes. It even came with the allen wrench to do so. When I got to the wood slates though, I was a little disappointed. Seeing how heavy duty the frame is makes you wonder why they went with what looks like fairly cheap one-by on the support boards. They also have an odor I'm not sure what is (not linseed oil) kind of chemically. It was rather strong when I first opened the box, but now a few days later I don't really smell it. The question remains, does the cheap wood hurt the strength of this frame? I am about 140 lbs, I jumped on the bed, enough so my feet left the bed fully, and I didn't hear so much a creak, however, during, ahem, adult time, there is some squeaking and as quiet counts when you have 4 sleeping products of prior said adult time, I knock of a star for cheap wood and squeaks.
This also comes with a non-slip mat for your mattress, which is nice and the stinky support boards velcro in place. The queen frame I ordered was true to size fitting both my old innerspring mattress and the new memory foam I replaced it with.
I included some pictures with a ruler so you can see the width of the legs and support bars. I do like that the legs are bit wider than the older military-style metal frames. I have seen those go right through the floor. Please excuse my dirty ruler, it belongs to the spawn.
I will try to remember to update in about a year on how this has held up.

This thing got progressively squeaker with time. Eventually it squeaked like a rusted porch swing when you sat down or so much as wiggled in bed. Re-tightening the bolts does reduce that back to the original slight squeak on heavy movement, but it is super annoying to have to continually re-tighten them. I have tried WD40 and wax, both didn't help at all. Our next step is rubber washers if I can find some, followed by simply ditching this frame. I am disappointed, because I love the under-bed storage and it hasn't broken, it just is so loud. I think this would still be ok as a kid's bed, but as an adult, I'd skip it.
