Let’s first say that I am a veteran cycling instructor so I know indoor cycling bikes. Because of Covid I have been unable to ride due to gym closures. So about a month ago I purchased this bike for home. A google search showed this bike as a great value, and the reviews showed relatively good reviews. It took about 3 weeks to arrive and assembly was easy. On my first ride I noticed a “thumping in the right pedal and a lot of squeaking. I notified them and they got back with me in a timely matter. They suggested that the main bolt could be too tight and to loosen it. It did not solve the issue. They then suggested that the problem was a circular tube INSIDE the crank. Would I mind if they sent me the tools so I could remove it! I have a buddy who is a mechanic so after much trouble he was able to remove the crank and the “bad” part and reassemble the bike. It was still thumping and creaking! At this point they are sending a replacement bike. But today I did some investigating about the creaking. I discovered a bad weld on the main seat post covered with a black sticker! It is a defective issue that they are hiding. This is NOT safe as the seat post could eventually break off! I am writing this review in the hopes no one else will buy this defective bike.
