We love fancy Nancy. They have been a favorite in our home for our 4 years. But these chapter books I just couldn’t finish. I don’t feel in anyway (especially with how the world is now) that these books should be read. One example is that Nancy and Bree sneak into a neighbors home when they leave. I would never want to even instill this thought into my children’s head. They didn’t feel remorse about what they did, they almost got caught but did not. Another example would be they sneak around spying on friends and neighbors. Trying to catch friends in a lie, seeing if anyone on their block is doing something they shouldn’t. It just wasn’t right for us. Especially seeing as there was no remorse or accountability regarding what they did. These may not seem like issues to some. But it was more than enough for me.
