The taste is fantastic, it's similar in sweetness to sugar (slightly less sweet), however I can only rate it 2 stars because of how hard it is on the gut. I thought it was supposed to be easy to digest? No way. Every single person (friends and family) that tried it, either in their coffee or a baked good, later mentioned that "something" they ate didn't agree with them and had upset their tummy. Some mentioned it sending them to the toilet. I really didn't want it to be the bochasweet, because otherwise it's the perfect sugar substitute. Since so many others had complained after consuming it, I decided to test it on my kids, without telling them of course. I sprinkled some on their usual breakfast, plain organic yogurt. Within 30 mins one was off-gassing the most putrid smell imaginable, and the other was holding her tummy and literally crying. Just to make sure that it wasn't a coincidence and they had some sort of tummy bug, I waited a few days and tried again with the exact same results. Even my husband was complaining that something really bothered his stomach after eating a cookie sweetened with bochasweet, so I knew then that it was time to say goodbye to it. Sad day. I should also mention that we used this product for several months, and the discomfort after eating it only intensified over time. What I had hoped would happen is that our systems would acclimate and get used to it. Sadly no. It would have been wonderful to be able to continue using it, if it wasn't such a disagreeable product for everyone that tried eating it!
