People keep claiming it's revolutionary. Pfft. It's the same FRPG MMO you've been playing for years. It's simply cleaned up some of the more egregious problems extant in other MMOs. Deliberate teaming still sucks. While some effort has been made to limit grind, it's still, most definitely a "Gear and Grind". It's pushing the cash shop. And while ArenaNet is the one who created it, it's being published by NCSoft. BIG negative (especially since NCSoft doesn't have ANY trust in its US branch WHATSOEVER). There's a big push for GW2 right now. But, in the next 6-10 months, that push will taper off and the game will slowly be left to its own devices and the cancelled. This is now NCSoft's MO. They're going to churn and burn Triple A titles. And, instead of investing the money back into the property and growing it, they're going to simply use it to fund The Next Big thing. NCSoft is becoming infamous for simply killing off titles, after pushing "community" for so long. Basically keep in mind that this game is completely ephemeral and that they can yank it out from under you with no warning. Regardless of what you want. Regardless of what ArenaNet wants. And they see absolutely NOTHING wrong with sitting on the IP, rather than selling the property off (and creating a possible competitor for MMO dollars). Caveat emptor.
