Poor design – failed after 3 months
The Oster blade assembly, specifically the part that connects to the blender base, is made of a rubber like material. The part of the base that spins and connects to the rubbery piece is made out of a hard plastic. When you push down the spinning hard plastic part engages with the rubbery part of the blade assembly. Each time a little more of the rubbery part is chopped or torn off. After about 3 months of use (3-4 days a week) The rubbery part is so worn that it no longer makes a mechanical connection with the base. So the blade does not spin.
I do not often write reviews, but I do not wish other's to waste their money. I think if this part is replaced with a more durable material it would probably be an ok buy.
