Firmware riddled with security vulnerabilities - April 2021
Updated review April 2021.
I am writing this review while I am waiting on my new mesh wifi6 reutters.
This was a waste of money . I will never purchase another hardware from this vendor.
Vendor never bothered to patch the SSH vuls on this router. A firmware update was pushed last year but none of the vulnerabilities were fixed.
As it stands an unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.
Does the vendor want to have access to our routers ?
Original review
The first review Amazon did not approve because I had flagged all the vulnerabilities on the firmware .
TP-Link was aware of these vulnerabilities before they took the router to market since the vulnerability is few years old and this is somewhat new router for 2019 .
The vulnerability is exploitable remotely & TP-Link Support confirmed they are not planing to update firmware anytime soon.
