Buyer beware of SONY. Doesn't stand behind product.
After six weeks, and about 8 hours of use, external speaker failed. Called SONY, they said after 30 days they make no warranty. Offered to have me send it in for estimate and repair. Cheaper/easier to replace. Sounds like other buyers had a better experience, but I would have been better off with the digital product: Sangean PR-D7 AM/FM Digital Rechargable. A bit more money, but not in the trash after a month. Sony customer service rep actually said to me that I should be pleased, I got over a month of use before failure (!). Not encouraging feedback.
