Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I thought it was just my bad luck, but then I browsed the 1 star reviews of this product and discovered that the vast majority of them mirrored my own experience. The product works great at first, then rapidly degrades in performance (weird sounds, stop/start trimming, then total death). In month 3 the problems started and by month 4 it was totally dead. I really, really hate the idea of disposable tools and I had hoped for this one to last a few years. Extremely disappointed to see that this is "Amazon's Choice" endorsed, shame on Amazon and on Panasonic for not addressing what's clearly a recurring issue. A 1 month return policy via Amazon for a product that consistently dies after 3-4 months feels a lot like a fraud is being committed on consumers. Panasonic does offer a warranty and I just submitted my claim on their clunky website, will see if this goes anywhere. The cost of my time to address is probably going to exceed the cost of just ordering a different replacement, but I don't like the feeling that I've been ripped off.
