No boar hair at all. May be fake.
I received this product on September 2, 2014. The brush that I received vaguely resembled the one in the picture. There were no logos on the side. My brush has the scallops on the top, yet the wood felt extremely cheap with a slick glossy finish that made it hard to grip the brush. My biggest gripe with this product is that the bristles are all plastic (nylon). I tested for this by plucking several "hairs" from it and lighting them on fire. The nylon curls or melts, while real hair would just burn away. I also bit a few strands. If you bite into a nylon strand, the area where you bit would simply flatten. On real hair, the area where you bite may even sever the hair. Nylon hairs are flat at the tips whereas real hair are pointed. Nylon brushes do not soften over time and they will continue to keep scratching the skin with use. I expected a brush that would contain boar hair and did not receive one. I will use this brush as a scrubbing brush for cleaning bathrooms and various hard surfaces.
