I was relatively happy with my Canary until they started charging fees for the most basic features. They took away much of the functionality of this device literally overnite last night with NO NOTICE to users. I am even a member on one device and I stopped receiving all motion detection alerts with this latest "firmware update" (fee scam) and now I can't even see live video. Someone came into my house (a relative thankfully) and I received NO alert. What kind of "security company" sends its support home at 5 PM with no other method of resolution? I had a similar issue recently in which I lost the live video feed and my support ticket was not even responded to for 3 days. Unfortunately I am finding out YOU CANNOT DEPEND ON CANARY FOR BASIC HOME SECURITY even if you pay all the fees they are throwing at you. I rarely write reviews but I am FURIOUS with this greedy novice upstart company. I'm going to search for a more reliable and cost-effective solution and wish I could return both units I have. Buyer Beware!
