First and foremost, the cats don’t play with it. They watch it and might bat at it if it comes at them but they never play with it so it’s a failure as a toy. It’s a winner as a distraction and that’s what I needed so I use it anyway. The cats watch it suspiciously and I get some sleep. Secondly, the thing gets stuck under couches and entertainment centers CONSTANTLY which means it tries to free itself by going back and forth and spinning but it can’t so the toy part just whacks against whatever it is and makes a ruckus. It makes a ruckus no matter what as it bangs into walls and furniture. Third, when it’s in standby, it beeps 3 times, waits 3 seconds then repeats for the entire standby period…in a super high pitch tone that somehow manages to be both extremely quiet and incredibly piercing at the same time. As I type, it’s in the other room at least 40ft away and I can hear it boring through my ear drum and into my very soul. This thing needs to be slightly bigger so it doesn’t fit under things so easily. It does move well so I’ll give it that; it goes over cables and transitions to short rugs well. It also needs to not beep. Why is it beeping? Who coded that in? WHY?!
