This food is NOT nutritionally complete. It is meant to be used as a base with meat, so it is severely lacking in nutrients that would otherwise be included in a vegan cat food. I made the terrible mistake of feeding this food to my three cats for almost a year. In that period of time, two of them developed urinary issues/struvite crystals and one became pre-diabetic. This was after they had previously been very healthy consuming other (also vegan) cat food for 3-10 years. If you want to feed your cats a vegan diet like I do, because you can't justify killing hundreds of other animals to keep one alive, please choose Evolution Diet or VegePet or AmiCat. Basically anything other than this food! I also recommend supplementing Omega-3 EPA and DHA fatty acids and vitamin D-3 from algae, adding a urine acidifier, and soaking dry food in water overnight in the fridge to ensure your cat stays hydrated and to dilute their urine.
