As soon as I received this belt, I knew it was not leather. (Unfortunately this is all too common in the belt industry). The material feels light, cheap, and spongy. It squeaks when you move the buckle around. And the color is a much lighter brown, without a sheen finish, as pictured. The only part of the belt that is finished like in the photos is the loop after the buckle. Aside from the poor quality, it’s badly designed too. The ‘leather’ loop that you stick the belt thru after you buckle it, is way too tight. Yes it fits but you have to struggle to get it thru. Also the slit in the leather for the metal prong of the buckle is oriented inward, instead of out, so when you go to open the prong, it pulls on the ‘leather’. This will surely be a point of failure.
